Privacy notice
Who we are
KASIF is a small web agency based in Kochi, Kerala, India. We build websites and tidy Google profiles for businesses, wherever they are. For the personal data described here, KASIF decides why and how it is used (under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, that makes us the data fiduciary).
For anything about your data, or to use any of the rights below, book a call with us (opens in a new tab) and tell us what you need. Our email address will be listed here once our inbox is live. If we emailed you, you can also reply to that email.
What we collect
- When you email us: your name, email address, your business name, what you write, and any links or photos you send.
- When you message us on WhatsApp: your phone number, WhatsApp profile name, your messages and anything you attach. We only answer chats you start.
- When you book a call: your name, email address, the time you choose and any notes you add.
- When you visit this website: no cookies and no forms; the only thing stored in your browser is the currency you pick in the price section (see below). We do not run analytics or tracking. The company hosting the site may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
- When you try the free-mockup preview: it runs entirely in your browser. What you type there (a business name, an area, a second script) is not saved, not sent to us and not put in the page address; it is gone when you close the tab. The price section guesses a currency from your device's time zone, in your browser. If you pick one there, we remember that currency in this browser's local storage (just the currency code, such as AED) so the prices open in it next time; it is never sent to us, and clearing this site's data removes it.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and prepare the free mockup you asked for, using your business's public details (your Google profile, Instagram or website).
- To quote, build and look after your website if you become a client, and to invoice you.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.
If we emailed you first
We sometimes email local businesses once with a short note and one follow-up. We take business contact details only from open data (such as OpenStreetMap and Overture Maps) or from the business's own website, and we log where and when each detail came from. We never cold-call or cold-WhatsApp.
If you say no, or reply STOP, we stop. Opt-outs are honoured across email and WhatsApp permanently: we keep only a minimal suppression entry (the address or number) so we never contact you again. If you don't reply within 90 days, we delete your details.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become work: deleted once the conversation is over, and within 90 days of our last message.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then only what Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep.
- Suppression entries: kept permanently, so an opt-out is never forgotten.
Who else handles it
A small number of service providers process data for us: our email host, WhatsApp Business (Meta), our booking tool and our website host. Some of them may store data outside India. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
Your rights
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct it, complete it or delete it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. Reply STOP to any email.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
- Complain to us first; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
This notice covers KASIF's own website and contacts. Each client website we build has its own privacy notice written for that business.
